Betty Carter

The article that I saw about Betty Carter was amazing. It was so cool to see a female role in jazz. Carter was a very talented vocalist and had many fans who loved her very much. Betty Carter said that “You had to be yourself if you were going to succeed.” I think this is a great quote because it applies to everyday life. People everyday need to learn that being yourself is the best way to live your life. The people that are going to accept you for who you are are the people that should be in your life. Betty was born in 1930 and was very successful. Apparently she had an amazing voice, and was a role model to many people.

    Good information and you must have really looked like you read her biography and listened to the little clip of music that was provided. I really like that quote too, thanks for letting me get a glimps of her life and the woman she was.
